Come help us plant a living shoreline and return the Hillsborough River back to it's natural state!

About this event

Join us at Ignacio Haya Linear Park on September 10th to help plant native trees, shrubs and grasses to create a living shoreline. Volunteers will also help clean up along the newly restored estuary and shoreline to keep our waters trash free!

We are looking for 20 volunteers to sign up for the set up crew, which will arrive early at 7:00 AM to help with preparations and event set up. May involve moderate lifting and carrying of equipment.

All other volunteers will arrive at 8:00 am, which is when the project will commence.

All necessary tools and supplies for the projects will be provided on site. Volunteers are just required to wear closed toed shoes!

• Site & Address: Ignacio Haya Linear Park, 5108-5100 N River Blvd, Tampa, FL 33603

• Parking available along N River Blvd, but some construction is underway on stormwater work at middle of park – main parking areas will be on the north end of the park (north of W Crest Ave) and also at Rivercrest Park to the south.

• The check in area will be in the park where W Wilder Ave intersects N River Blvd
