About the Event

Celebrate Earth Day this year with a Turtle Nesting Beach Cleanup

Register online at WaterWarriorAlliance.org.

Please join us as we celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up a turtle nesting area.

In partnership with Madeira beach, Trash Pirates, Caddys, Trash Turtles, and Coastal Crusaders.

Celebrate Earth Day 2024 with a purposeful beach cleanup across Madeira Beach, aimed at supporting turtle nesting efforts. This collaborative initiative brings together the Water Warrior Alliance, Trash Pirates, Coastal Crusaders, Trash Turtles, and Caddy's Madeira Beach. We warmly welcome the community to participate on Monday, April 22, from 6 to 8 PM, to contribute to this vital environmental cause.

Convenient free parking will be available for all volunteers at Archibald Park and Johns Pass. Beginning at 6 PM, you can collect your cleanup supplies from Archibald Park, Johns Pass, and Caddy's Madeira Beach, and start the cleanup at any of these locations at your convenience.

A special highlight of the event will be the speakers on environmental conservation, scheduled for 7 PM behind Caddy's Madeira Beach. This informative session promises to enhance your understanding of the importance of our conservation efforts.

As a token of our appreciation, each volunteer who checks in to get their cleanup supplies will be given a free T-shirt, sponsored by Caddy's Madeira Beach. Furthermore, after you have completed the cleanup and returned your supplies, you will receive a complimentary food and drink ticket, redeemable at Caddy's Madeira Beach. This event not only allows you to make a tangible difference in preserving our environment but also offers a chance to enjoy the sense of community and the scenic beauty of Madeira Beach.

Event Alert: Celebrate Earth Day with Sunset Beach Clean Up at Madeira Beach| Hosted by Caddy’s and Local Environmental Heros

Let’s make waves, not waste!

In celebration of Earth Day, Caddy’s Waterfront Restaurant is encouraging guests to preserve Madeira Beach by hosting a Sunset Beach Clean Up on Monday, April 22 from 6 – 8 p.m. The eatery is teaming up with four local environmental organizations to bring the community together to make a lasting impact on local beaches for a cleaner, sustainable future.

For the first time, the Water Warrior Alliance, Trash Turtles, Coastal Crusaders and Trash Pirates of Mad Beach have joined forces with Caddy’s to make a big splash on Earth Day. They will provide volunteers with safety gear, cleaning materials, free food and t-shirts and chances to win prizes for their clean-up effort! Please see further details on the eco-friendly event below:

Gear Up for the Clean-Up with a FREE T-Shirt – Volunteers will receive a FREE Turtle Season Awareness T-Shirt at check-in!

o The Importance of Turtle Season - The amber-colored T-shirt serves as a reminder of Turtle Season from March 1 to October 31, when all lights/ light bulbs should be changed to low-wattage bulbs to help new sea turtle hatchlings find their way back to the ocean.

Beach Clean-Up Scavenger Hunt - Saving the environment has never been more fun! Each volunteer can participate in the Madeira Beach Clean-Up Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win prizes sponsored by Caddy’s and other local businesses. To win, participants must collect as many items listed on their scavenger hunt as possible.

Post Clean-Up Reception – After the clean-up, volunteers are invited to enjoy FREE sandwiches and drinks (beer/seltzers/sodas) at Caddy’s Madeira Beach while listening to guest speakers from each of the partnered environmental organizations discuss the importance of doing these clean ups, recycling and doing our part to protect and preserve our local beaches and communities.

There will be FREE parking available at both the Archibald Memorial Beach Park and John's Pass Park parking lots.

SunPubs is a hospitality group that owns five restaurant concepts with locations throughout the Florida Gulf Coast-area. The group strives to make the community a better place for the people who live and visit here and are proud to work closely with a variety of local nonprofit organizations to raise funds to support their partner's philanthropic initiatives.

Please let us know if you’re interested in attending and capturing the Earth Day clean-up on Madeira Beach or would like to interview the SunPubs’ team about their continued effort to support local communities.

We hope to hear from you soon!
