Water Warrior Alliance and Partners to Host Madeira Beach Cleanup in Response to Hurricane Damage
Madeira Beach, FL — October 25, 2024 — Water Warrior Alliance is organizing a citywide cleanup in Madeira Beach on Friday, October 25, 2024, to help restore local beaches and intercoastal waterways following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This significant community event is made possible through partnerships with local organizations, aiming to clear debris and pollution left by the storms.
The day will kick off with a focused cleanup of the intercoastal waterways. Old Salt has secured several vessels, and Water Warrior Alliance has arranged for a dumpster to facilitate trash removal during the day. This will set the stage for a citywide cleanup later in the evening, ensuring a comprehensive restoration effort. The citywide cleanup begins at 4:30 PM, and all community members are encouraged to participate.
