What Our STEAM Programs Include

All Water Warrior Alliance youth programming is STEAM-based. Depending on the event, age group, and setting, programs may include:

  • Environmental science and ecosystem exploration

  • Technology integration, including ROVs and submersible drones

  • 3D printing and fabrication, often using recycled or reclaimed materials

  • Engineering and design-thinking challenges

  • Artivism, comics, and creative storytelling

  • Data awareness, systems thinking, and real-world problem solving

Youth don’t just observe — they participate, build, test, and create.

How Youth Learn Through STEAM

Hands-On Exploration

Participants engage directly with waterways, habitats, and urban environments—learning how pollution, infrastructure, and ecosystems interact.

Build & Create

Youth work with tools and technology such as:

  • ROVs and underwater exploration equipment

  • 3D printers and hands-on fabrication

  • Creative materials and upcycled debris

Tell the Story

Through comics, art, media, and storytelling, youth communicate what they’ve learned and how they envision solutions.

Water Warrior Alliance delivers hands-on STEAM programs through partnership-based implementation. These programs are made possible through a combination of in-kind support, monetary contributions, donated services, products, and volunteers provided by requesting groups and community partners.

While we make every effort to keep dates updated, some approved or pending programs may not yet be listed, and all dates are subject to change or cancellation due to weather, permitting, site conditions, partner coordination, or resource availability.
