About the Event
Art in Action is a free summer DAY camp designed to empower youth through creativity, environmental awareness, and civic engagement. Hosted by Water Warrior Alliance and funded by the City of St. Petersburg, this unique program brings together professional artists, environmental mentors, and community leaders to guide campers through a week of immersive, hands-on experiences.
Campers will explore environmental issues through the lens of art, using upcycled materials to create powerful works that tell a story. The program includes guided field trips, environmental cleanups, a boat-based eco-tour, and media workshops — all leading up to a youth-led final showcase where students exhibit their creations and share their voices.
This is more than just an art camp — it's a chance to inspire change, build leadership skills, and connect with a community of like-minded creators.
